Could we use normal approximation in Q4 as both np and nq were greater than 5?

yeah.. as nq=5.1 and np=9.9 you can use normal approximation with a continuity correction, but it’s not recommended as there are only 2 values to be calculated

Will marks be deducted if in Q1 part ii we have written 0.1917 instead of 0.192 ?

For question 7 I used the second method (adding all options) but I got only one of the options correct and added it to 1 other option (which is wrong), how many marks will I get?

Hey mate thanks for posting the paper!! Hey like for the 7th question right part ii) suppose i did all of it all the steps you did broke it down into 3L’s inside 2 L’s inside 1 L inside and what not (explicitly showing all workings and assuptions), but didnt account for other as in didnt multiply by 5C2 and 5C1 in the cases of 2 and 3 L’s inside.
also what would be competitive score for this paper

For question 6 (iii), I truncated my answer down to 107 days rather than rounding it upto 108 days. Will I lose marks for it? Sometimes, they seem to allow multiple answers to these kinds of questions. But do you think it will be the case this time?

Q.7 it mentioned – There must be at least 1 from each activity and there must be more athletes than cyclists.

    S A C
    1 3 2 = 5C1 x 7C3 x 4C2 = 1050
    3 2 1 = 5C3 x 7C2 x 4C1 = 840
    = 1890 ways

But the waiting time should be 6-9 minutes; when u take 0.88-0.16=0.72,this includes 5 minutes
